Grab your friends, don your pink and join us on our climate-controlled terrace for this fun summer event! In celebration of National Rosé Day, Trattoria Sofia is hosting a festive rosé tasting on the terrace with multiple vendors, a Prosciutto di Parma tasting with Francesco Lupa, the professional carver and brand ambassador, plus heavy hors d’oeuvres and live saxophone music for $75/person. Your ticket, which is required to enter, includes the rosé tastings plus hors d'oeuvres.
Maestro Francesco Lupa, Prosciutto di Parma Carver & Brand Ambassador
Francesco has been a driving force in the specialty food and restaurant business for over 30 years. Born and schooled in Italy, his love for food and appreciation for taste, tradition, and terroir began at an early age. This has translated well as his position as a Certified Prosciutto di Parma Carver and Brand Ambassador since 2015. He started his career in 1986 as a Food and Beverage Director for the restaurant group Cucina Regionale, NYC, where he managed every aspect of the business.
In 1996, Francesco joined Dean & DeLuca, international purveyor of gourmet foods, as their Italian food and beverage specialist. Since 2001, Francesco has been an independent consultant to suppliers of specialty foods with an emphasis on Italian foods.
