Enjoy a formal tasting of four delicious wines with winery representative Patrick Bayne accompanied by a 4-course menu by Trattoria Sofia's Executive Chef with wines expertly paired by Trattoria Sofia's Sommelier Anthony Garza.

Patrick Bayne
LUX Wines - Orin Swift Cellars Portfolio Consultant
Patrick Bayne graduated from Florida State University in 1991 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. After realizing that looking at numbers in a cubicle all day was boring, he decided to try his hand at selling a tangible product in a thriving market with growth potential. He lucked into a sales rep position at Premier Beverage in Pensacola, FL and sold wine & spirits across the Florida Panhandle. Thus, began his love and appreciation for fine wine and spirits.
Although selling to the scenic beach restaurants & bars was fun, the opportunities for growth were limited in an area where most residents were drinking mostly “Chateau Miller Lite”. He decided to try his luck in San Antonio, where he started as a Merchandiser with Republic National Distributing to get in on the ground floor of the biggest distributor in Texas. He was quickly promoted to sales rep where he was awarded the title of “Salesperson of the Year” in 1998 and 1999 before becoming a Retail District Manager.
After 6 years of selling wines & managing reps on the distributor side, he jumped the fence to the supplier side as the South Texas District Manager for Trinchero Family Estates. Over the next 19 years his management roles grew within Trinchero Family Estates, Ste. Michelle Estates, Beam Wine Estates, and eventually, the Luxury Wine Division of Constellation Brands - TRU Estates & Vineyards. It was during his time at TRU, that he earned his WSET III certification and gained a deeper appreciation for continuing his wine & spirits education.
In 2019 Patrick joined E.& J. Gallo Winery as the Houston On Premise Portfolio Consultant for LUX Wines, where he earned his CSW & CSS certification. Patrick’s focus is now on hosting elevated events throughout Houston to introduce and promote iconic wine brands that include Orin Swift Cellars, Jayson Pahlmeyer, Louis Martini, Jermann, Argiano, Pieropan, & Allegrini.
